Depending on your situation, you can sponsor an orphaned brother, sister, nephew, niece or grandchild only if they meet all of the conditions or, you may sponsor one relative, related by blood or adoption, of any age, if you meet all of the conditions.

Can I sponsor my in-law’s to Canada?
Your spouse may be eligible to sponsor your in-laws and you may be a co-signer on the application.
Can I sponsor a non-Immediate family member?
The Family Class program allows sponsorship for spouses, dependent children, parents, and grandparents. You can sponsor a non-immediate family member in special circumstances, such as the adoption of your niece or nephew.
Can I sponsor my spouse if I have been married before?
If you are divorced, then you can apply for a spousal sponsorship. However, if you were an applicant for spousal sponsorship in the last 5 years preceding the application, then you are not eligible for a spousal sponsorship.
Can I apply for work permit with spousal sponsorship?
You may be eligible for an open work permit if you have applied through spousal sponsorship.
